Nestled near a forest reserve and an international bilingual school, this detached villa offers residents an exquisite leisure lifestyle. The design includes open-air spa facilities, a home theater, and a banquet hall, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. The villa also features outdoor terraces and a study room, creating a balanced environment for children.
What sets this villa apart is its integration of environmental elements. The open layout allows light, water, and wind to interact with the inner space, creating a harmonious and refreshing atmosphere. The villa's design embodies the concept of "luxurious but low-key," offering a tranquil retreat from the bustling city.
The villa's construction combines various materials, including water curtain walls, terrazzo, stone, tile, wood grilles, wood, and glass. With a base area of approximately 160 ping (528.9 square meters), the villa is built using reinforced concrete technology.
Wei Ting Lin, the mastermind behind this design, emphasizes the importance of light in this project. The villa boasts multifaceted daylighting, ensuring that the space is well-ventilated and bright. The use of wooden grilles on the staircase adjusts sunlight and prevents overheating. Additionally, the bathroom features switchable glass, providing privacy when needed.
Located in the picturesque Linkou District of New Taipei City, Taiwan, this project was completed in March 2022. The design of the villa was meticulously researched to create a comfortable and relaxing environment, offering residents a high-end lifestyle. The villa's multi-level layout and thoughtful spaces cater to various needs, making it a perfect haven for families.
Overcoming the challenges posed by the local climate, temperature differences, and potential impacts from typhoons and strong sunlight, Wei Ting Lin successfully created a villa that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. The use of wooden grilles and large glass windows ensures a balance between privacy and connection with nature.
This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2022. This prestigious award celebrates designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. Wei Ting Lin's Staycation villa truly embodies these qualities, offering a luxurious retreat that embraces nature.
